The Centre for Research in Economic Analysis (CREA) focuses on economic integration issues. It studies the determinants of economic performance at the level of the company, the nation, and the global economy by focusing on the major links between regional development, economic integration, environmental policies and international finance and their impact on growth, employment and wellbeing, with a particular, but not exclusive, look on small open economies like Luxembourg.
CREA will concentrate its effort on a limited number of challenges:
- Economic Development and Globalisation: regional economics, economic geography, migration and brain drain, and development economics
- Macroeconomics: international migration, economic growth, and financial development
- International Economics: productivity and innovation, regulation and attractiveness of small open economies, and Luxembourg economic studies
