<p>2010 KSP with the Lao PDR was initiated in April 2010 when the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) and the National Economic Research Institute (NERI) of the Government of the Lao PDR submitted a written Demand Survey Form. The form was officially channeled through the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Lao PDR and the Ministry of Strategy and Finance (MOSF). The requested topic was: Strengthening Lao PDR's Research Capacity in Macroeconomic Stabilization Measures in the Time of the Crisis.</p>
<p>Based on the topics submitted by the partner country, the MOSF and the Korea Development Institute (KDI) reviewed the form considering the areas where Korea has the necessary know-how and is ready to share its experience, and decided to carry out the KSP with the Lao PDR. Korea Expert Consulting Group (KECG) was chosen and requested to undertake the project in view of its expertise and consulting capacity.</p>
