The UN ICT Task Force is made up of members from UN organisations as well as the private sector, NGOs, academia and civil society. Its aim is to form partnerships between these sectors and to inform the strategy of UN programmes relating to ICTs for development.
The Task Force has six working groups looking at:
- ICT policy and governance
- national and regional e-strategies
- human resource development and capacity building
- low cost connectivity access
- business enterprise and entrepreneurship
Regional task forces have also been set up.
