Independent, non-governmental organization promoting research in mathematics and the natural sciences. The Academy represents Sweden in a number of international scientific research bodies. Holds open lectures, conferences etc.
Sections within the academy include: Human Rights Committee – working to observe and react on abuses of human rights of scientist and scholars throughout the world; Beijer International Institute of Ecological Economics.
