Established in 1985, the University’s departments include anthropology, economics, politics and international studies, and sociology. Research centres include the Centre for Ocean and Marine Biology; the Centre for Human Rights; the Centre for Women Studies; and the Centre for Pollution Control and Energy Technology.
The University’s publications include the Pondicherry University Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities (PUSH), abstracts from which can be viewed on the website.
