The Pact AIDS Corps initiative is an expression of Pact’s institutional commitment to HIV/AIDS as the predominant global development challenge for the foreseeable future.
The Pact AIDS Corps pledges to develop the capacities and resource mechanisms for communities to:
- strengthen local leadership
- mobilize diverse citizen’s participation and hope for the future
- tackle critical gender, stigma, poverty and cultural roots causes
- organize multi-sector response committees
- increase community-based organizational capacity
- unleash community assets
- use human rights approaches to increase
- access to HIVAIDS prevention, care, support and treatment
- apply information and communications technologies and models to expand responses
- information about the AIDS Corps’ work
- the Pact Democracy and Governance Tool-Kit with a focus on rule of law, human rights, citizen’s participation, advocacy, community and NGO capacity-building, and enhanced information-sharing and management
