Policy related research regarding labor markets and human resouces is a primary task of the National Center for Human Resources Development (NCHRD). The Center was developed to:
- improve training programs to labor market needs
- continue evaluation of reform programs in education
- establish a human resources information system
The center:
- coordinates projects undertaken in cooperation with national bodies and international funding agencies
- prepares an educational database at the national level in cooperation with the Ministry of Education
- offers training and consultation services in the area of education information systems, and large- scale studies on quality of education for a number of Arab countries
