Institute of Economic Forecasting of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) conducts fundamental and applied research in the field of macroeconomic analysis and forecasting. The main areas of research are:
- dynamics and structure of the national economy
- factors and indicators effecting potential for economic development
- structural and technological processes in economic systems
- development of various sectors of Russian economy
- conversion in the military sector
- economic and social development of the regions of the Russian Federations
- management of state property, privatization and other institutional problems
- demographic processes
The institute has partnerships with many national institutions and organizations, among them: the Ministry of Science, Ministry of Economics, Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank, the State Industrial Committee, and the Ministry of Fuel and Energy, Ministry of Defense, and the Institute of Economic Transport Forecasting.
The Institute carries out joint research work with a number of public associations, including the Federation of Russian Manufacturers, the Russian Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
