The RECA project is an inter-agency initiative designed to enhance WASH preparedness and response capacity around the world. The project provides direct support in a number of countries across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America and the Caribbean. It provides dedicated technical and human resources to WASH coordination platforms and stakeholders, through its six Regional Emergency Cluster Advisors (RECAs).
RECA is run by an international consortium of international non-governmental organisations and international organisations, including: CARE, Action Against Hunger, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Norwegian Church Aid, Oxfam and Tearfund.
