The Precautionary Principle Project is a joint initiative of Resource Africa, IUCN, Fauna & Flora International and TRAFFIC International, which seeks to:
- examine the conservation, development and trade impacts of application of the precautionary principle
- stimulate international policy dialogue highlighting the experiences and perspectives of developing countries
- develop “best practice” guidance on the meaning and application of precaution in natural resource management and biodiversity conservation.
The website provides further information about the project and the partners, as well as the Precautionary Priciple itself. It also offers access to publications and outputs, and links to relevant websites.
