The National Primary Care Research and Development Centre (NPCRDC) is a collaboration between both the Univeraity of Manchester and the University of York. It is a multi-disciplinary centre which aims to conduct high quality research relating to primary care, disseminate research findings to a wide range of audiences, inform primary health care policy, support the development of primary health care and develop research capacity in primary care.
Research at NPCRDC is organised into 3 themes of work, the first of which is reducing health inequalities. In this research theme, the NPCRDC investigate how primary care can improve population health and reduce health inequalities. The second research theme is primary care organisations: governance, workforce and partnerships. The final research theme is quality in health care. Links to more information about these areas of research are provided.
