IPS represents a unique effort in the non-governmental sector to promote debate on critical issues. During the 20 years of its existence, IPS has been taking note of national and international issues, offering its floor to scholars, policy analysts, intelligentsia and general public and finally disseminating the message. So far, IPS has published over 170 books, organized more than 350 seminars and prepared 1000 plus reports.
The Mission Statement of IPS is: “the development of skill for research on world Issues in general, and Pakistan and Muslim world in particular, with a view to contribute to the process of policy-making by sharing and interacting with the people and institutions involved in it”
The website includes the monthly journal Pakistan Political Perspective which monitors events and activities of political parties and performance of the institutions of parliament, judiciary, president, prime minister and the cabinet.
