This site hosts the full collection of working papers, consulatations, workshops and other resources relating to the FAO Forestry Outlook Studies. The studies are regional looking at Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe and Latin America.
“Outlook studies describe how forests around the world might look in the future. The outlook study helps countries place their own policy objectives in a global context thereby facilitating better informed national policy development and planning. For example, by providing a measure of future wood fibre availability, countries – and companies – can make decisions on whether it is worth investing in new processing facilities and what type of facilities should be built.”
