EconomiX is a pluralistic research center, which favor cross-fertilization among fields of research and approaches. It combines theoretical developments and applied research. The fields of expertise of its members cover :
- macroeconomics, international and development economics
- econometrics and modeling in finance and insurance
- labor and industrial economics, economics of organizations and institutions
- history and economic theory
About 250 researchers are working with EconomiX. Half of these are PhD students
EconomiX is a joint research center operated by the University of Paris X and by the CNRS. It is one of the four major units of research and education in the field in the Paris region.
Within the University of Paris X, and in particular in the Doctoral School ‘Economics, Organization, Society’, the members of EconomiX are involved in transdiciplinary cooperations, in particular with researchers in law, management, sociology.
The members of EconomiX are active in many regional, national and international networks or research or dedicated to training young researchers. Co-operative relationships are developed with other academic institutions, with public authorities (at the regional, national and European levels), and with businesses to develop joint projects.
