Provides an interactive website on preventive strategies for UN policy makers and others, supported by a team of Harvard researchers.
The Program builds research portals tailored to a particular conflict or issue area, offering:
- Access to human security resources
- On-line discussions forums and
- Internet conferencing
One major portal has been created on Indonesia Three to four additional portals are planned for 2001-2002 researching the sources of human insecurity in countries suchas Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, Burundi and Myanmar/Burma, or on thematic issues such as the role of extraction industry in conflict prevention.
