The Latin American Center for the Development and the Participative Communication or Centro Latinoamericano para el Desarrollo y la Comunicacion (CDESCO) is a network of specialists located in several countries of Latin America. CDESCO promotes the development of the population in general with a particular focus on the marginalised rural and urban sectors.
The Centre designs and undertakes evaluation of development projects and programmes in the country and abroad, and provides technical assistance to marginalised populations. The organisation conducts research in participative methodologies of development and models of education, and produces informative messages in audio-visual and electronic formats.
The CDESCO website offers free registration which enables users to download documents from the archives. The CDESCO website is available only in Spanish. More information about previous, current and future interventions in rural development projects is also available on the site.
