The Centre for Development Studies (CDS) at University of the South Pacific, aims to seek to understand the complex processes of social, economic, cultural and political change in the South Pacific region. The Centre examines how local communities and island states are affected by globalization and regional integration. Activities of the institute covering change and development include:
