This section of the Development Gateway is intended to improve the effectiveness of development assistance through systematic, coherent and timely provision of information to all the participants in the aid process, including client governments, donor governments, multilateral organizations, local governments, civil society, NGOs, the private sector and grass-roots communities.
The issues and discussions area provides a forum for those interested in development effectiveness to exchange views on some of the hot topics of the day, and to share information, resources and experience. There is also a place to ask others in thedevelopment community for their views and suggestions on projects, evaluations or other activities in which you may be engaged. In the resources area you will find information on the policies that govern aid organizations’ decisions; evaluations of the effectiveness of aid projects, programs and policies; lessons learned and good practices from development projects and programs; tools for monitoring and assessing performance; links to especially informative websites on development; and a whole lot more.
