The Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA), founded in 1961, is Singapore’s oldest think-tank. The SIIA informs its members and public about international affairs. In the 1980s and 1990s, the SIIA dealt more with security and trade issues, and became Singapore’s representative in the network of ASEAN Institutes of Strategic and International Studies (ASEAN-ISIS). The SIIA now actively reaches out to the business community and the public to inform them of and engage them with international and regional affairs.

The five main programme areas of the SIIA are:

  • ASEAN-ISIS and international dialogues
  • business programmes
  • public and youth education
  • research and policy studies
  • exchange and training programmes
The website contains information on programmes, publications, newsletters and an archive of articles, papers, speeches and conferences.
