The Center for European Studies (CES) is a non-profit, non-governmental institution which undertakes research on the social, political and economic realities in Europe, and their relation with other areas, in particular, Latin America and Cuba.
CES comprises a multidisciplinary staff of researchers, covering different areas of social sciences including history, political sociology, international relations and economics.
One of the main activities of the Center is organizing an annual International Conference on European Studies. It also publishes:
- a quarterly magazine called ‘Revista de Estudios Europeos’
- a monthly bulletin called ‘Mensaje de Cuba’ by the CES programme with European NGOs, in collaboration with several Cuban non-governmental organizations
Both publications are edited in English and Spanish. The summaries of ‘Revista de Estudios Europeos’ (from the September-December 2001 issue onwards) and the list of contents of the monthly bulletins (from summary 85 onwards) are available on the website.
The CES website is in both English and Spanish, and provides further details about CES activities. Information about participating in the annual International Conference on European Studies and subscribing to its magazine and monthly bulletin are also available on the website.
