This programme contributes to poverty reduction in Bangladesh through deepening the understanding chronic poverty, processes that keep them people inpoverty and policy measures that help to overcome poverty and vulnerability. The main outputs of the programme are:
- production and dissemination of policy relevant research findings to government agencies, donors and civil society
- developing the capacity of Bangladeshi research institutions to undertake research on chronic poverty
- Bangladesh Chronic Poverty Report published biannually
