This was designed with a dual focus:
- to support USAIDs Population and Reproductive Health (PRH) Office’s mandate to provide technical leadership and develop effective, innovative responses to health needs
- to respond to USAID Mission country-specific needs and resources, as well as to support their strategic objectives
To fulfill this dual mandate, CMS develops and implements
- pilot interventions
- new health care financing options and models
- creative financing mechanisms
CMS also conducts research and disseminates lessons learned in order to guide, evaluate, and document project activities.
All CMS sub-projects and activities support USAID’s objectives and the needs of host country organisations and partners.
