The Centre for Economic and Strategic Research (CESR) has existed since 1990 as a non-profit, non-governmental organisation. The goals of CESR are to:
- facilitate contacts and communications in the field of economics and to assist in the establishment of research networks and teams among Bulgarian and foreign economists
- contribute and take part in the organisation of public activities such as seminars, conferences, workshops, etc. in order to publicise the results of current economic research
- assist its members and associates in the dissemination of up-to-date news and information in the field of economics
- encourage and assist economic research and to facilitate the organisation and implementation of research projects in the field of economics, including applied studies, analyses and forecasts
- aid the publication, the dissemination and practical implementation of the results of research projects.
