An independent, non-profit institute dealing with problems of post-communist transition, European integration and the world economy. It was established in 1991 as a private foundation.

CASE’s statutory activities include:

  • conducting policy research
  • advising governments, central banks, international organizations and the NGO sector
  • disseminating research results and economic knowledge via publications and

    other means

  • providing public education and training, including organization of seminars,

    conferences, academic internships, study visits and consultations

CASE disseminates its institutional knowledge by creating a network of affiliates in various countries of the Commonwealth of the Independent States (CIS). The Center also supports the NGO sector in post- communist countries.
