The central bank of Thailand
WWW has materials (in Thai and English) on the Bank and extensive statistical data on the Thai economy. Statistics can be viewed on screen or downloaded in Excel format. Statisctial series include: interest rates; foreign exchange rates; bank rates; manufacturing production index; price index; central government operations and debt; reserves; monetary data; balance of payments; international reserves and foreign trade; banking statistics; agricultural production; mining production. Data is available as annual aggregations (through the Economic Information Committee option) or in more detailed monthly/daily rates (through the Financial Data or Economic Data options). Includes the statistical tables fromthe Bank’s Monthly Bulletin. Also provides a description of other data released by Thai official sources.
WWW site also has information from the Bank’s library network. Inlcudes weekly summaries of articles from financial newspapers/news-journals (focus on East Asian news)
