Organisation conducting national and international research,currently in four areas of policy concern:
- U.S. labor markets
- Changing demographic patterns in the United States
- The social and economic functioning of the elderly
- Economic and social change in developing countries
Research is spread amongst its four research centres: Center for the Study of Aging, the Center for the Study of the Family in Economic Development, the Center for the Study of Social Welfare Policy, and the Population Research Center.
