The Center for Asian and Pacific Studies (CAPS) is part of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University. The Center undertakes research and training on social, economic and political issues relating to the Asia-Pacific region.
Research by the Center focuses on contemporary social issues, developmental trends and policies and relations within the Asian and Pacific region and beyond, in the context of globalization and regionalization, with particular emphasis on Vietnam. Areas covered by CAPS include: regional stability and security, economic development and socio-political change in the region.
The Center is organized into four major programs:
- Educational and training support
- Chinese language and culture
- Regional education exchange and Vietnamese language
- Regional collaboration research
