Carries out policy – oriented research that would assist Zimbabwean’s economic and social development. It also : provides training courses in development studies; disseminates research findings by way of publications and seminars; shares information with other research institutions localy regionally and internationally; participates in teaching activities in various departments of the University of Zimbabwe.
