UNESCO Jakarta is a sub-regional office with responsibility across all UNESCO sectors on education, science, social science, culture and communication for Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Timor Leste.
It is also the Regional Bureau for Science for Asia and the Pacific, providing technical support for the development of UNESCO’s regional science and environment activities.
