An independent, non-governmental organisation that aims to leverage the political, civic, scientific, and economic resources of North American, European, and Eurasian partners to combat the rapid and devastating spread of HIV/AIDS in Russia, Ukraine and neighboring countries.
TPAA will work toward the following objectives:
- slowing the spread of the HIV epidemic by supporting comprehensive prevention strategies
- improving the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS by promoting sound policies concerning access to treatment, care and support
- reducing the stigma of HIV/AIDS and ensuring the human rights and civil liberties of those infected with HIV
- strengthening international collaboration on therapies, a cure, and a vaccine
- by creating a community of purpose that spans North America, Europe, and Eurasia, TPAA contributes to strengthening international cooperation in the global fight against AIDS
