Joint Swedish-Latvian venture established as a Latvian legal entity in the former part of the 1990s, it now offers two distinct degree programs: an accredited full-time three-year B.Sc. in economics and business, and an accredited part time Executive MBA program.
It has been created in order to:
- offer an integrated academic institution of excellence, useful for the Baltic region
train and graduate students from the Baltic region in a bachelor programme in Economics and Business- assist to create a sustainable development of the Latvian, Estonian and Lithuanian economies by supplying graduates with modern economics training
- participate in applied research in areas relevant for the long-term development of the econmies in the Baltic states
offer executive training and up-grading to the business community and society at large in the region
Research interests include:
- Electronic commerce
- business climate in the Baltic rim
- analysis of the labour market in Latvia in the context of higher education
