microLINKS is an online knowledge sharing source of information, applications and tools designed to improve the impact of USAID microenterprise programs and activities. It provides access to the latest information on microenterprise; best practices; proven approaches from USAID Missions, partners, and practitioners; a library of documents, reports, and tools. It is created through the USAID Microenterprise Development office’s current research funding mechanism, the Accelerated Microenterprise Advancement Project
Resources and sections include
- Communities: venue for USAID, AMAP teams, and other interested Communities of Practice (COPs) to post documents, communicate, and share ideas, practices, and knowledge
- Accelerated Microenterprise Advancement Project (AMAP): an indefinite quantity contract mechanism designed to help USAID Missions and central Bureaus achieve their economic growth strategies. Site includes project details and documentation
- USAID MED Library (Microenterprise Development Library): hosts full-text documents from earlier projects such as Microenterprise Best Practices (MBP), MicroServe, Assessing the Impact of Microenterprise Services (AIMS), Growth and Equity through Microenterprise Investments and Institutions (GEMINI). Includes publications from former Micro Enterprise Innovation Project (MIP). Also more recent works produced under the Accelerated Microenterprise Advancement Project (AMAP) and the Practitioner Learning Program (PLP). The Library also hosts archived materials including the “microLINKS Connections” Newsletter, ” Notes from the Field” Reports, and other documents, discussions, and publications
