WWW search tool which allows searching of multiple search engines (currently Galaxy, Infoseek, Lycos, Open Text, Webcrawler and Yahoo) from a single search request. Metacrawler relies on the databases built up by the other tools, but uses its own search software to interrogate them, rank item and collate results to remove duplicates. [Limits searches to a maximum of 10 hits from each search engine, so do NOT use for a comprehensive search]
