IWTC is an women’s international, non-governmental organization (NGO), that supports the initiatives of women working to promote the more equitable and active participation of women in the development plans and policies of their countries. It’s major constituency is women and women’s groups in Africa, Asia, Caribbean, Pacific, Middle East and East Europe and Central Asia (the Global South). A limited number of publications and communications are available in Spanish for IWTC’s constituency in Latin America. IWTC is an information clearinghouse, innovator in communication strategies, a training and capacity-building organization and a catalyst for the creation of new networks and coalitions.

Underlying IWTC’s work is the belief that access to relevant and usable information is essential to participatory and sustainable development and is at the heart of the growing global women¹s movement.
