Research project looking at the institutional environment affecting the design and implementation of new information technologies in both national and international settings, and the extent to which these constrain or promote the effective use of new technologies for development. Thematic studies on prominent global trends will be combined with case studies in selected developing countries to ensure a comprehensive study based on comparative analysis.
