The Harvard China Review(HCR) is published by Harvard China Forum. Harvard China Forum is a graduate student organisation based at Harvard University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. By introducing the nature and context of the transformation currently occurring in Greater China, the HCR seeks to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation between Greater China and the rest of the world, and to help accelerate the integration of this region into the international arena.

The HCR has two major business components

  • an English journal, which covers issues pertinent to the historical transformations occurring in Greater China. It examines the prospects and difficulties confronted by the region as China develops rapidly into an open market economy. The HCR is addressed to academics, policy makers, and business executives who are not only interested in Greater China, but whose careers and investments depend on insightful information about the region. It also addresses students and general readers who feel the need for objective discussions on issues in this area
  • the second component is a conference series focusing on current events affecting Greater China. The HCR symposia provide a forum for leaders in business, government, law and academia to discuss the changing dynamism of Greater China. It also brings together students from leading American universities to exchange ideas and explore the challenges ahead
