GTAP is working on providing data, standard model (general equilibrium model) and software to enable the analysis of global trade patterns. The data base contains: detailed bilateral trade, transport and protection data characterising economic linkages among regions, linked together with individual country input-output databases which account for intersectoral linkages among 50 sectors within each region (45 geographical regions covered in current version of model).
