Directory of all the research and development projects in the geoscience sector which are funded by the UK aid agency DFID. Includes summaries of projects and archive of the bi-annual DFID Geoscience newsletter, Earthworks.
Projects can be searched for or browsed by broad theme:
- Promote environmentally sensitive mineral resource development
- Improvement of geological, geochemical and geotechnical hazard avoidance strategies in development planning.
- Improvement in understanding of the engineering properties of geological materials in developing countries and develop new engineering and environmental applications for their use
- Development of strategies and systems for maintaining and improving national geoscience information services
