FBIS is a USA government agency which translates the text of foreign daily broadcasts, statements and selected news sources. Closely related is the Joint Publications Research Series (JPRS) which provides translations of printed sources.
Available as:
(a) FBIS WWW site: access limited to US government institutions and strategic partners
(b) World News Connection: service from Dialog launched in 1996 which are using FBIS materials. Data is available through keyword searching or through a more structured search (using pre-defined themes and geographical areas).
