The OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) is the primary forum where bilateral donors meet to review together both the amount and nature of their contributions to aid programmes (bilateral and multilateral) and to consult with each other on all relevant aspects of their development assistance policies. With the secretariat support of the Development Cooperation Directorate, DAC encourages and harmonises OECD aid to developing countries and other aid recipients.

Publishes: (a) annual report of the Chairman of the Development Assistance Committee (commonly known as the DAC Report); (b) Geographical distribution of financial flows to aid recipients (annual); (c) Development cooperation review series: reviews the policies and programmes of an individual donor country (c.7 per year, covers all countries within a three year cycle); (d) Gazette: Quarterly Report on Individual Aid Commitments (e) external debt statistics (annual).
