DESARROLLO- Instituto de Capacitación y Estudios conducts research on economic and social development, with an emphasis on Paraguay.
The activities of the Institute are divided into three main areas:
- research
- training, including both graduate studies and executive training
- technical assistance
Past and present research includes:
- National Human Development Report
- export-based growth strategies in Paraguay
- evaluation of a National Health Program to reduce infant and maternal mortality rates
In addition to research, the Institute offers two Masters programs in Economics and Finance in Paraguay, in collaboration with the Universidad de San Andrés (Argentina). It also organizes training courses on international business, finance and development management.
