CSD is the UN agency responsible, with UNDPCSD (see separate entry) for implementation of UNCED / Agenda 21 resolutions on sustainable development. Includes coordination of scientific, policy and donor issues.
WWW site includes: full text of documents/background papers for current/past CSD meetings (annual follow-up reports on UNCED), full text of document on sources and methodology for sustainable development indicators, list of national (i.e. governmental) sustainable development contact points, list of accredited NGOs, calendar of international meetings, etc. Includes information on the Global Conference on Small Island Developing States.
