The Centro de Investigaciones para la Transformación (CENIT) is a non profit organisation that focuses on analysing the structural changes of the Argentine economy and the main aspects of Argentina’s integration into the world economy.

Specific areas of research undertaken by CENIT include:

  • economic integration in MERCOSUR
  • the productive, technological and environmental management strategies of Argentine companies
  • the impact of foreign direct investment inflows
  • the performance of the National Innovation System
  • the role of new technologies and technological policies
  • the relationship between international competitiveness and environmental management and concerns

CENIT undertakes joint research activities with the University of San André. It is also part of the Mercosur Economic Research Network, a network of research institutes from Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay.
