The Centre for Development Finance (CDF) combines in-depth contextual knowledge, operational expertise and academically grounded insights to achieve two main goals:
- to identify and demonstrate ways to increase the overall number of public and private funds available for roads, water supply, telecommunications, electricity, health, education and other infrastructure and services
- to identify ways to improve public and private sectors’ ability to invest money more effectively in public goods.
CDF consists of development practitioners and researchers. Wherever possible, CDF researchers also participate directly in implementing suggestions that stem from research projects. The organisation’s active approach to development research aims to identify and enable small changes with far-reaching consequences for public policy and private practice.
