The Center of Arab Women for Training and Research (CAWTAR) is an international non-governmental institution. It undertakes research and produces academic findings and reports on Arab women and the issues affecting them, in order to help various decision-makers and actors in the field better implement their policies and projects.
CAWTAR objectives:
- Support development of the Arab women’s perspective on changing gender roles in the process of social changes
- Raise awareness and develop capacities of policy-makers, planners, and the general public about the Arab women’s status and potential contribution to national development
- Strengthen women empowerment by providing support to the creation a network on institutions and experts dealing with the issues of global development
