CIPDD is a public policy think-tank.

There are two large areas in which CIPDD is active: democratic transformation and institution building, and creating foundations for sustainable peace and security.

CIPDD’s areas of focus are the following:

  • issues of ethnic and religious minorities
  • local governance
  • civil society development
  • civil diplomacy and confidence- building
  • civil military relations
  • security sector reforms

CIPDD conducts policy research, issues publications, and organizes conferences, workshops and roundtable discussions. It also caries out training exercises in areas of its expertise. The organization is also involved in advocacy efforts for human rights and democracy causes.
