This Spanish database has been developed by the Network of Institutions and Experts on social statistics of Latin America and the Caribbean, with a view to support the production of social statistics in the region. It gives free access to data on about 130 social indicators on demography, education, health, housing, employment, wages, poverty and income distribution, the economy, as well as those used to monitor the Millennium Development Goals, for Latin American and Caribbean countries. Users can perform queries selecting available countries, years and breakdowns, downloading results in Excel and creating on-line charts. Each indicator is associated with a technical note featuring definitions, methodology, breakdowns, information sources and comments
