A network of non-government and community-based organisations that provide HIV/AIDS services within the Asia and the Pacific region.
APCASO is part of the global network of ICASO, together with AfriCASO (Africa), EuroCASO (Europe), LACCASO (Latin America and the Caribbean), and NACASO (North America). ICASO is the interactive focal point which links these five regions and ensures that the concerns and interests of CBOs and NGOs around the world are articulated and represented at the global level.
ICASO brings together all the groups throughout the world which have risen out of the community efforts to control the spread and impact of HIV and AIDS. It believes that the participation of women and men infected with HIV and communities affected by the epidemic is essential to ensure provision of support and necessary services. ICASO believes strongly the recognition of the human rights of all persons is central to an intelligent public health strategy to combat the epidemic.
