Programme aims at strengthening socio-economic and gender analysis capacities at regional, national and local levels by providing development specialists with practical methods and tools. The Programme emphasises the need to understand how development policies and programmes are likely to affect economic activities and social relationships among different groups of people. The broad socio-economic patterns and the linkages among them are highlighted in SEAGA at three levels of society – field, intermediate and macro. The focus is on both women and men.
