The Global Health Council is a membership alliance dedicated to improving health throughout the world. Their diverse membership is comprised of health-care professionals and organisations that include NGOs, foundations, corporations, government agencies and academic institutions that work to ensure global health for all. The Council’s key issues: women’s health, child health, HIV/AIDS, infectious diseases, emerging threats.
The Council informs and educates opinion leaders, policy-makers, the media and concerned citizens about crucial global health issues.
Information activities:
- disseminates information through publications (Healthlink, AIDSLink and Technical Reports);
- shares knowledge through events such as the international annual conference (annual conference);
- identifies and disseminates the evidence to support what works and what does not work to improve health and promotes and conducts research to fill identified knowledge gaps
